With experience ranging over the past 4 decades, Vinod Tawde has struck a perfect balance of aggression and prudence which is showcased in his style of leadership. Beginning his journey into politics as a student activist with Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Tawde has honed his skills at the grassroots and paving a path upward the political cadre in Maharashtra and now in Delhi, with consistent diligence, commitment to the greater good of the nation, patience and honest efforts towards public service.
Vinod Tawde currently holds office as General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is a former Minister in the Government of Maharashtra with School Education, Higher and Technical Education, Medical Education, Sports and Youth Welfare, Minority development as well as Marathi Bhasha (Language) and Culture as his portfolios. He also served as the Guardian Minister for Suburban Mumbai during his term.

Under Vinod Tawde as the minister for Higher and Technical Education, the department focused on the educational growth parameters that go beyond the realms of pure academics and encourage the basic inquisitive nature of the students in their quest for knowledge.
Cultural Affairs
The Ministry of Cultural Affairs, under Vinod Tawde, focused on promoting the unique essence of Maharashtra and the identity of the state, fusing this essence into a distinct pride of the state. Vinod Tawde became the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra State in October 2014 from Borivali (MUMBAI SUBURBAN) Constituency. He won by the largest margin of votes amongst all MLA’s highest in Mumbai and second highest in the state.
During his tenure, he completely transformed his constituency, implementing the developmental vision of PM Modi ji at the grassroots.
